OFFERTORY: Last week’s collection amounted to £456.02. Thank you very much.

SECOND COLLECTION: Next weekend is for Day for Life. The Church teaches that life is to be nurtured from conception to natural death. The theme is The Lord is my Shepherd – Compassion and Hope at the End of Life. A debate on end-of-life issues has been in the headlines in recent months with calls for assisted suicide being expressed, especially by celebrities, a view that opposes the Catholic view that life is a gift and that we are called to care for others at the end of their lives.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY: Resumes today, Sunday.

HOLY HOUR FOR EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS:  All lay Eucharistic ministers are invited to the Cathedral or join by live stream as the annual diocesan gathering to celebrate Eucharistic Ministry and to renew their commitment. The Holy Hour takes place today, Sunday at 3pm.

POPE’S INTENTION FOR JUNE: Pope Francis’ monthly prayer intention this June is for “those fleeing their own countries.” We pray that migrants fleeing from war or hunger, forced to undertake journeys full of danger and violence, find welcome and new opportunities in the countries that receive them.

YOUR SYMPATHY: Is requested for the family and friends of Noel Beirne who died on May 6th and whose funeral will take place in Church at 11am on Wednesday.

YOUR SYMPATHY: Is also requested for the family and friends of Mary McManus who died on May 25th. Her funeral and requiem Mass will take place in Church at 2pm this Friday, June 14th.

PARKING: We have received several complaints now about parking in front of the church, blocking the pavement on Hayway and bus stop. Please consider where you park when attending Mass before it is taken out of our hands. Thank you.

CELEBRATION: On Wednesday June 19th Rose Ward will be 100 years of age and the Monday Dance Club will be celebrating this on Monday June 17th. If any parishioners would like to wish Rose a Happy Birthday, please do join us from 2pm to 4pm in the Church Hall.
