CHILDREN’S LITURGY: Will resume after the holidays on Sunday June 9th.

 

THE BAPTISM: Of Luan Christopher Batson-McAlister and Ffion Ann Batson-McAlister will take place this Sunday, May 26th at 12noon.

 

CHILDREN’S ROSARY PRAYER GROUP: Will meet on this occasion on Saturday June 8th at 10am in church.

 

HOLY HOUR FOR EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS:  All lay Eucharistic ministers are invited to the Cathedral or join by live stream as the annual diocesan gathering to celebrate Eucharistic ministry and to renew their commitment. The Holy Hour takes place on June 9th at 3pm.

COFFEE MORNING: On Saturday June 1st, from 10am to 12 noon there will be a Coffee Morning in the Parish Hall for Church funds so please support this. There will be a cake sale and raffle. If you can donate a cake or cakes and a prize or prizes for the raffle that will be much appreciated; please bring especially cakes before 10am on the day. Thank you.

 

YOUR SYMPATHY: Is requested for the family and friends of Noel Beirne who died on May 6th and whose funeral will take place in Church at 11am on June 12th.

 

PARKING: We have received several complaints now about parking in front of the church, blocking the pavement on Hayway and bus stop. Please consider where you park when attending Mass before it is taken out of our hands. Thank you.

 

SVP PILGRIMAGE TO WALSINGHAM: Is on Sunday, July 7th, leaving Rushden at 8:45am and returning around 7pm. If you would like to join us please take one of the envelopes from the back of Church and bring it back with your contact details and the payment of £25 per person to cover the coach cost. If you need additional information ring the SVP on 07749 433000.

 

FOODBANK DONATIONS: There is a comprehensive list of requested items at the back of Church (including tinned foods & household goods). Please keep the donations coming, as stocks are running low and demand is increasing more and more. Thanks to everyone for all the donations, both of goods and money!

 

TOUCHED BY GOD’S GRACE:  Is a very special exhibition of arts which will be held at Northampton Cathedral as part of the Becket Festival on July 6th and 7th. We want your works that have been inspired by your own experience of God’s grace; drawings, paintings, printmaking, photography, textiles, film or sculpture. See poster on noticeboard for all the details.

 

ROSARY GATHERING: To honour the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be held on the vigil at 6pm on Thursday May 30th at Christ the Cornerstone Church, Milton Keynes MK9 2ES. See poster on noticeboard.

 

DIACONATE VOCATION INFORMATION MORNING:

For anyone who feels a calling to the permanent diaconate in our diocese. Come along to St Mary’s Catholic Church, Dunstable on Saturday June 8th from 10am-12noon.

 

WOMEN IN MINISTRY: THIRD DIOCESAN GATHERING: As a woman of the diocese, you are warmly invited to a joyful day of sharing and conversation, exploring our roles, gifts, ministries, and our calling in the Church. Saturday June 8th 10am to 4pm, St Mary’s Catholic Church, Aspley Hill, Woburn Sands MK17 8NN. A light lunch is provided. Tickets are free but limited, so please book now. VOCATIONS WEEKEND FOR WOMEN (20s & 30s): “Discerning God’s Call in your life” on 24th – 26th May in Liverpool. The weekend is organised by the Sisters, Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ). Jesus invites each of us to ‘Come and See’ – this weekend will give you the opportunity to explore the vocation to religious life and to reflect on God’s call to you.
