PASTORAL AREA REFLECTION DAY – 6th JULY 2019:

Following the Pastoral Area Reflection Day held in Wellingborough last July, a new Pastoral Area Council has been formed and is beginning to develop the working groups to address the discussions we had on the Reflection Day. Unfortunately, the attendance list of that day has been mislaid and many of those attending expressed an interest in being part of the working groups or supporting this initiative in some way or another. If you are one of these people please could you contact Kim Marks and provide your contact details, name of your parish and your area of interest? Kim can be contacted by email: marksymail@yahoo.co.uk or telephone 01933 400728 (leave your details on answerphone).

EVERYONE IS INVITED TO: The open meeting of Higham Deanery Synod at 7:30pm on Thursday February 6th at All Hallows’ Church, Hargrave, (tea and coffee served from 7pm). The main item will be a presentation by the Diocese of Peterborough Children’s and Youth Ministry team on the Generation to Generation Project that is now starting up in Higham Deanery where, over the next six years, a paid worker will be spending time in each benefice each year, working with church members and in local communities to develop existing activities such as school assemblies, lunch clubs, mentoring and open youth clubs, and to help create new ones.

THE ANGELUS PRAYED AFTER DAILY MASS: On March 29th, England will be rededicated as the ‘Dowry of Mary’. This will happen in Westminster Cathedral, in Walsingham, in every Catholic Cathedral, in every parish and in as many homes as possible. In recognition of this we will pray the Angelus after the daily Masses so that our hearts may be spiritually prepared for the rededication.

THE VINE: Please take a copy of the February edition of your free Diocesan newspaper from the back of church.
