PULPIT EXCHANGE: Welcome to Reverend Phil Hearson from the High Street Wesleyan Church who will be preaching at the 6:30pm Mass this weekend.
YOUR SYMPATHY: Is requested for the family and friends of Pasquale Tom Belso who died last Sunday. His funeral will be held at Kettering Crematorium on Tuesday February 4th at 12:30pm.
CHRISTIAN UNITY SERVICE: The annual Christian Unity Service will take place on Tuesday, January 21st at 2pm and will be held at the Salvation Army Headquarters.
As this is a call for prayers for Christian Unity throughout the world, it would be so good to see many of our parishioners as possible attending the service. Tea and Coffee will be served after the service.
BISHOP ELECT: The Vatican has announced that Canon David Oakley will be the next Bishop of Northampton, succeeding Bishop Peter Doyle. Canon Oakley will be ordained Bishop on March 19th, when he will take up his duties as our new bishop. We wish him and Bishop Peter every blessing.
PEACE SUNDAY: The theme chosen by Pope Francis for this year is ‘Peace as a Journey of Hope: Dialogue, Reconciliation and Ecological Conversion’. Pax Christi, the Catholic Peace Movement has a long history of promoting conflict resolution and sharing the Gospel of Peace. To find out more about their work, see http://paxchristi.org.uk/ .
