VISITING THE PARISH?
We offer you a warm welcome and if you are a UK taxpayer and are intending to put money in the collection, please consider using a Gift Aid envelope – they can be put in the collection bag or, if you need time to complete the information needed, in the box at the back of the Church.
Thank you
THE TIME TOGETHER GROUP: Meets next Saturday (January 11th) at 2:30pm in the Parish Hall – we will have a light hearted quiz afternoon and a chat. All are welcome.
TAKING DOWN OF CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS AND FLOWERS: Volunteers are required to assist with the taking down of the Christmas decorations on either 6th or 7th January. Unfortunately Valerie Brierley and Seamus will not be available as both will be out of the country. Your usual co-operation will be so much appreciated.
WHITE FLOWER APPEAL 2020: The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) will be holding its annual appeal next weekend. On October 21st 2019 the most extreme abortion regime in Europe was imposed on the people of Northern Ireland by the government at Westminster. Abortion will now be permitted for any reason up until 24 weeks, and even beyond that. The abortion lobby now wants to introduce this in England and Wales. Please be as generous as you can to help SPUC defend unborn babies and their mothers from this new attack. See poster on noticeboard.
CHRISTMAS CARDS: Your card may be in the box in church; please check.
THE KEYS – CHRISTMAS EDITION: Is available at the back of the Church NOW! Those who have requested a large print edition will find it on the table in the Sacristy; if
you have not requested a large print edition but would like one please ask.
YOUTH MINISTRY GROUP: There will be a new Youth Ministry Group starting in January. If you would like more information about this, please put your name on the sheet at the back of church.
NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION: Make a difference through CAFOD. We really need people who are interested to go into our Catholic schools and inspire students to act on their sense of justice. You don’t have to be a teacher to do this role, only a passion for CAFOD’s work and an ability to communicate well with children and young people. If you are good at motivating others we have the ideal role for you – inspiring other volunteers in nearby parishes. Also, we would love to share more of the great acts of love carried out by our parishes and schools via media. So if you are able to help promote our work in this way, we would love to hear from you. All necessary training, travel expenses and resources will be provided. To get in touch: email northampton@cafod.org.uk or phone 01494 863 777.
