OFFERTORY: Last week’s collection amounted to £472.22. Thank you very much.
SECOND COLLECTION: This weekend is for Day for Life. The Church teaches that life is to be nurtured from conception to natural death. The theme is The Lord is my Shepherd – Compassion and Hope at the End of Life. A debate on end-of-life issues has been in the headlines in recent months with calls for assisted suicide being expressed, especially by celebrities, a view that opposes the Catholic view that life is a gift and that we are called to care for others at the end of their lives.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY: Is available to all children age 5-9 years old at the 10am Mass. We invite the children to come out to the hall/lounge after the entrance hymn and we return them at the Offertory.
ST THOMAS MORE FEAST DAY: At Raunds Chapel on Saturday June 22nd. All are welcome. See poster at back of Church.
CELEBRATION: On Wednesday June 19th Rose Ward will be 100 years of age and the Monday Dance Club will be celebrating this on Monday June 17th. If any parishioners would like to wish Rose a Happy Birthday, please do join us from 2pm to 4pm in the Church Hall.
COFFEE MORNING: On Saturday June 29th from 10am to 12 noon there will be a Coffee Morning in the Parish Hall for Church funds so please support this. There will be a cake sale and raffle. If you can donate a cake or cakes and a prize or prizes for the raffle that will be much appreciated, please bring especially cakes before 10am on the day, thank you.
UNION OF CATHOLIC MOTHERS: Our next meeting will be on Tuesday June 18th. Daily Mass Scheme. Mass at 10am then on to Milton Earnest Garden Centre, for tea, coffee and cake etc.
