SECOND COLLECTION: Next weekend is for Peace Sunday and this year the message from Pope Francis tells us: ‘No one can be saved alone. Combatting Covid-19 together, embarking together on paths of peace’.
He asks us: ‘What did we learn from the pandemic? What new paths should we follow to cast off the shackles of our old habits, to be better prepared, to dare new things? What signs of life and hope can we see, to help us move forward and try to make our world a better place?’
A vaccine has been found for Covid-19, says the Holy Father, but we still need to tackle the virus of war, and of inequality, and this can only be done together.
TEA/COFFEE/REFRESHMENTS: After Sunday’s Mass will be in the Parish Hall.
LIVING FAITH: Daily scripture reflection magazine for January to March 2023 is now in Church, priced £1.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2023: Preparation will be starting in January 2023. If a member of your family is in year 3 and will be eight years old by June/July next year, can you please contact the Parish Office with the name and contact number. Alternatively leave details on the list at the back of the church.
THE CHURCH’S ORDINARY TIME BEGINS: From now, the Lectionary will have the Ferial readings through to Ash Wednesday: Sundays: the year of Matthew (Year A); weekdays: Year 1, Psalter Week 1.
FOOD BANK NEWS: Cash donations in the months of November and December were a very generous £303.66. Thank you for all your kind donations. FYNNIUS FOGG: Are in concert in the Parish Hall on Saturday, January 21st at 7:45pm to raise funds for Encompass, who run the local food banks, homeless provision and addiction recovery service. Tickets are £10 per person from 01933 313456 or email: remcsm@gmail.com
Fynnius Fogg play 60s and 70s pop music to raise money for good causes and were awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2019. Entry includes soft drinks and light refreshments.
CALLING ALL YOUNG PEOPLE: The next LUX event will take place on the weekend of February 3rd-5th at the King’s Park Conference Centre, Northampton where the theme will be LUX.Flawless.
