This very special once in a lifetime event will provide an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the special gifts and charisms of Lourdes in a church or cathedral near home.

The relics will be visiting Northampton Cathedral from 3pm on October 10th until 9am on October 13th. For more information and to register a place, see noticeboard, www.stbernadette.org.uk/the-tour/  and for general enquiries: contact@stbernadette.org.uk.

This year, the theme of the conference is ‘Called to Love’ which will explore the Church’s teaching on Sexuality and Identity, and how we can be better prepared to accompany our young people through the confusion, as they seek to find their identity in Christ. Seeing your Life through the Lens of the Gospel

  1. ‘One’s life does not consist in the abundance of possessions’ said Jesus. What have you found by experience to be more important in life than possessions? What brought this home to you?

  1. ‘Be on your guard against all kinds of greed’. Perhaps you have seen how greed can lead to trouble in public life, in family life, and in the personal life of individuals. What has helped you to guard against greed? What benefits have you experienced when you were less greedy?

  1. The message of the parable could be summed up in saying ‘If you want to give God a laugh, tell him your plans’. Life takes many twists and turns we do not anticipate. When have you found that you had to change your plans because of unexpected circumstances? What has helped you to be flexible and resourceful at such times?

PRAYER FOR BLESSING OF GRANDPARENTS: Lord God almighty, bless our grandparents with long life, happiness and health. May they remain constant in your love and be living signs of your presence to their children and grandchildren. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
